Bradbury Lab was in charge of all R&D procedures, such as development, research and implementation of the Tele2 TV mobile app. The Tele2 TV solution is built on a company OTT platform, which helps all of our subscribers to receive their content all around the Russian Federation.
The hybrid TV-solution at the programming layer will connect cable television of the IPTV standard on the basis of a network of MGTS in Moscow and DVB-C in regions of Russia, and also MTS satellite television with online services.. Among them a program guide with expanded functions, video on demand and service of the postponed viewing.
Hybrid MTS TV also offers subscribers the "smart set-top boxes" developed especially for the operator, which openes access on the TV screen to the interactive program of telecasts, exchange rates, road condition and news feeds. The set-top box can be connected to the home Internet and subscribers gain access to additional services — the postponed viewing (Catch-up TV), to video on demand (VOD), and to function of a pause (TimeShift).
Our company participates in the project by offer the following products: system of transcoding, record and broadcasting, CDN-network of delivery of a video content. Implementation takes place at the federal level and the number of the cities where nodes of CDN are set, permanently.
The entertaining multiscreen media-portal Zabava is one of components of a package of services of "Interactive TV" from Rostelecom. Our company implemented systems of transcoding, record and broadcasting of TV of a signal, and developed mobile applications for Android and iOS, Smart TV. The management system (middleware) provides control of users, devices, meta data, and aggregates all transactions of users on one account irrespective of the used devices. Broadcast of channels and video is automatically set up for data transmission rate available at this time, and viewing of TV and video is available through 3G networks and Wi-Fi. Telecast can easily be delivered on a pause, to rewind or continue viewing content on other device.
Our company worked on installation online movie theater in trains of the Russian Railways company. Access to the portal with a multimedia video content in real time is provided to passengers: movies, animated films, serials, offer both cinema products of last years, and novelties. Service is available to all owners of the devices supporting Wi-fi technology: on the way favourite content can be looked now on mobile devices and notebooks.

The key task on this project was to implement OTT TV in the market where earlier this technology wasn't provided.
For implementation of this task our company successfully installed system of transcoding of TV-channels on the data communication network of Rostelecom. We participated in the scale project of federal level, to expand significantly a zone of providing of services of "Interactive TV" in all territory of the country. As a result, the installed system of transcoding drastically reduce the workload into the HD channels broadcast of a data communication network of Rostelecom. The subscribers of HDTV which connected on xDSL technology has the opportunity to watch the high definition television. The service was unavailable to them before due to low speed access to service on "the last mile".
The primary purpose of the project was implementation of transcoding HD channels for the platform Dom.ru TV. Transcoders from the Bradbury Lab became a good addition to the existing components of the platform and have allowed service subscribers of Dom.ru utilize the content in the HD-quality with minimal load of bandwidth network of the telecom operator.
